Concept : 1999年2月14日 秋山デザインオフィースでの誕生パーティーの時のケーキです。早朝に採った葉蘭上のケーキにオブジェがついています。ケーキの箱には、パーティーが行われる場所の夜空を再現するように針で穴が開けてあります。場所の緯度、経度、日時、星座の等級、等を正確に再現しています。箱を閉めるとオブジェの上には、満天の星がふりそそぎますが外からは見えません。箱の中を想像して楽しむケーキです。誕生日のキースは独身なのでオブジェは三角関係を演出しました。抹茶を使った緑はモンゴル草原のイメージです。

Concept :
This cake was made for a birthday party held at the Akiyama Design Office on February 14th,1999. The cake is made from orchid leaves picked early in the morning and features an ornament attached. The cake box has holes pierced with a pin to recreate the night sky at the location where the party was being held. The latitude, longitude, date, time, and magnitude of the constellations of the location have all been accurately recreated. When the box is closed, a starry sky falls above the ornament, but it cannot be seen from the outside. This cake is enjoyed by imagining what is inside the box. As Keith was single on his birthday, the ornament represents a love triangle. The green color, made with matcha, is meant to evoke the Mongolian grasslands.
The night sky at 9:15pm represents the time when you are unsure whether to go home or stay until morning.
